8 ways to keep your baby cool this summer!
It is always important to make sure your little one is fully protected and cool in the hot weather.
Here are 8 ways to keep your baby cool:
- Remove unnecessary bedding and clothing. Below is a chart to help you know what to dress your little one in at bedtime.
- Try to keep your little one's bedroom temperature between 16 and 20 degrees.
- Keep your baby out of the sun and use high factor sunscreen.
- Use a hat and cool, loose clothing to protect your baby's skin from the sun.
- Stay in the house during the hottest part of the day. It is normally 11-3pm
- Give your baby a cool bath before bedtime and allow them to dry naturally, this will help them stay cool
- If you have trouble keeping your baby's nursery cool in the summer, you might want to try a fan. Also if you are out with your little one in the sun a handheld/pram fan can also be great.
- Make sure your baby gets enough to drink and you too, especially if you're breastfeeding.
